there is little to be learned
from his rallies and all the pompous talk;
i adopted a wait-and-see attitude,
wondering if he could walk the walk
but he didn't know a thing or two:
he couldn't even tie a shoe.
too much of a chauvinist
and too well-known to be a mechanic,
i waited in the wings far from the party,
calmly breathing to avoid panic;
i was horrified he'd be a fool:
drain water from the public pool.
and now we know the story;
the large portrait is a picture of HIM
without any cogent plan for anything;
he keeps promising WIN WIN WIN WIN!!!!
but he didn't know a thing or two:
he couldn't even tie a shoe.
