a long war and a needless war
although some are short and important
but all are terrible and traumatic
and there are horrible injuries and horrible deaths
scars on skin and scars inside skin
legs without bodies
bodies without heads
heads without hope
memories
dreams which reoccur like breath
in and out
out and in
weaving and bobbing
fishing for the soul.
